LOS ANGELES, Calif. Sept 5 – The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health today released the latest data on COVID-19. The number of cases and deaths are likely to reflect reporting delays over the weekend.

2,122 new COVID-19 cases (1,419,030 cases to date)
11 new deaths due to COVID-19 (25,445 deaths to date)
1,537 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19
Nearly 8,233,000 individuals tested; 16% of people tested positive
