The China-Central Asia Summit, with a list of summit outcomes adopted on Friday

AMTV/Xian, China, May 19 – The China-Central Asia Summit, successfully held in northwest China’s Xian City on Thursday and Friday, was attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The list of outcomes includes 54 proposals for cooperation in multiple fields, 19 platforms proposed by China for multilateral cooperation and 9 documents on multilateral cooperation.

The leaders agreed to establish a mechanism for meetings among the heads of state, as well as ministerial level mechanisms in areas the countries give priority to, such as diplomacy, agriculture, investment, transportation and customs.

China proposed to build mechanisms and forums to discuss cooperation in areas such as emergency response, political party, e-commerce, health service and media.

The leaders agreed to take more measures to boost trade and investment among the six countries, such as upgrading the investment deal between China and Central Asian countries, increasing cargo flights and improving transportation infrastructure.
